Dr. Fritz Kahn (1888-1968) was a gynecologist in Berlin and a world-famous popular science writer who illustrated the form and function of the human body with spectacular, modern man-machine analogies through the fantastic poster Der Mensch als Industriepalast (Man as Industrial Palace) which was created in 1926. Image credit: industriepalast.com/ 80 years later, in 2006, inspired by this great artwork, German artist/designer Henning M. Lederer came up with an innovative/creative idea to animate/interact Fritz Kahn’s complex & strange way of explaining the functions of a body, by transferring this depiction with the help of motion graphics and animation. Here is an awesome  preview clip of Henning’s ongoing animated and interactive project based on the Fritz Kahn’s poster: Der Mensch als Industriepalast [Man as Industrial Palace] from 1926.
